Matt is a guitarist, producer, audio engineer and educator from Baltimore, Maryland.

Based in New Orleans, he graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Masters Degree in Jazz Studies. He has performed alongside Danilo Perez, Rufus Reid, Kurt Elling, and Shannon Powell, in addition to many other greats in the New Orleans area.

Notable features include the guitar chair for Baltimore Center Stage’s production of Soul: The Stax Musical and with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. He has over fifteen years teaching experience and has had the opportunity to teach with jazz master Donald Harrison, Jr. through the Tipitina’s Foundation.

You can find him featured prominently as a writer, producer and multi-instrumentalist for Sinead Angele, Kirkland Green, Tajh and the Funky Soles and Electric Baker. You can also find him touring with the three-time Grammy nominated Mardi Gras Indian funk band Cha Wa.

Matt is available for performance, in-person or remote recording and session work, private lessons and audio engineering/mixing services.
